Security operatives have literally taken over the streets of Owerri, the capital of Imo State in anticipation of the arrival of the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammad Adamu.
The IGP’s visit follows the Monday morning attacks on the state police command headquarters in Owerri and the Owerri Correctional Centre.
The Police Spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed the IGP’S visit to newsmen.
He further disclosed that the IGP would inspect the police facilities that were attacked in the state.
