The virtues of diligence, dedication, commitment and selfless service were celebrated in Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) on Friday, March 5, 2021, as the Management of the institution held a valedictory for the outgoing Deputy Rector Academics, Dr. (Engr.) Kehinde Osifala after 37 years of laudable service to the College.
The Rector, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe described Osifala as a pillar of support who gave the College his all during his service years. Other Management staff also showered encomium on the retiring officer.
Oshifala, a Chief Lecturer, and current President of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers (NIStructE), joined the service of the College in 1984 as Lecturer III. He became a Chief Lecturer in 2002, Dean, School of Engineering in 2005 to 2008, Head, Physical Planning Unit in 1998 to 2001, and later returned as Director, Physical Planning Unit in 2018 to 2021, and finally Deputy Rector Academics in 2018 to 2021.
He has contributed to the growth and development of the College through attracting donations of equipment at different times. In addition, he has also served, over the years on 28 committees, panel and task forces as member and later mostly as Chairman. He has designed, supervised or managed over 15 College projects either as Consultant or Project Manager.
The outgoing Deputy Rector Academics who also celebrated his 65th birthday on the same day, thanked the College for the opportunity to serve and to showcase his talent.
The Yabatech Community hereby wish him happy and fulfilling retirement.

I’d like to know if The great Engineer has published any book on civil structural engineering.. in any iteration of the constituent disciplines especially Structural Analysis and Design
