Over 120 Million Nigerians Facing Energy Poverty, Says Sylva

The minister of state for petroleum resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, has said over 120 million Nigerians are experiencing energy poverty despite the huge natural gas resources in the country.

Sylva said this today at the pre-summit conference of the 2021 Nigeria international petroleum summit in Abuja.

According to the minister, the economic recovery and growth plan of the regime of president, Muhammadu Buhari, revolves around the utilisation of natural gas.

He said at the end of the summit, that a robust road map would be presented to the president in a bid to continue the determined pursuit of transforming Nigeria into a gas-based industrial nation.
