The Federal Government is set to resume talks with the Academic Staff Union of Universities on Friday.

It is expected that talks shall resume on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System introduced by the FG to pay workers’ salaries.

ASUU had earlier opposed the system, proposing the University Transparency and Accountability Solution instead.

The Federal Government had agreed to pay N30 billion allowances, N20 billion investment in the education sector, and salary arrears of University lecturers.

The only issue that separates both parties remains the payment platform.
